Terms of Service
^{my ToS applies to art trades as well as commissions}

almost all of my terms can be changed to meet a customer’s needs in individual cases.
If my terms of service are broken, I will not be accepting commissions from TOS rule breakers in the future, and may potentially warn friends and peers of this behavior.

* I do not permit ANY of my artwork or adoptables to be used in/as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), AI image generation / manipulation, or anything related to cryptocurrencies* You (the customer) may display the artwork commissioned from me anywhere you’d like, as long as you link my deviantart or this carrd for credit.* This bears repeating; Please credit me if using my art anywhere. For example, crediting me in your biography if using my art as a profile picture.* Claiming any artwork I have created as your own and/or cropping/removing my signature is strictly prohibited* My commissions are for personal, noncommercial use only


* I require half of my payment up front, before starting any commission work. The other half should be paid no later than after the commission has been finished and sent to the commissioner.* I reserve the right to display completed artwork on my social media accounts or art portfolio* I accept cancellations.
     * If I have already been paid and have either not started working, or have only drawn the sketch, I will refund the customer
     * If I have done any work further than a sketch, I will send the customer the work I have completed, and will keep the payment as compensation for my time.
* If the commission in its entirety is a sketch, refunds are not an option.* I should be finished with the commission within 2 to 3 weeks, but it may take up to a month depending on my workload. If my process takes longer than expected, I will notify you.* Work In Progress screenshots can be sent at any time upon request.

Boundaries

Note: Please include any and all relevant details pertaining to your commission when contacting me.

No* I will not draw anything explicitly sexual* I will not draw anything hateful or bigoted* I will not draw mech characters, heavy armour, or robots* I will not draw satyrs, centaurs, or any other humanoids with animal legs in artwork where the legs would be shown. I am not skilled at drawing satyr style legs, and do not wish to give my customers a poor quality product.* I will not draw reptiles, dragons, etc. I am not skilled at drawing non-furred/scaly creatures, and do not wish to give my clients poor commission results.

Yes* I will draw light gore and candy gore. (I will not draw heavy, non-candy gore.)* I may be willing to draw animals, but it depends on the kind of animal and the complexity

Adopts/Character Designs Specific Terms of Service

if your adoptable has been specifically commissioned and was not a premade adopt, please refer to my general ToS for the waiting timeframeplease refer to my general ToS for any art piece related questions

* I DO NOT PERMIT ANY OF MY ARTWORK OR ADOPTABLES TO BE USED IN/AS NON-FUNGIBLE TOKENS (NFTs), AI IMAGE GENERATION, OR ANYTHING RELATED TO CRYPTO


* Artwork I have created of my adopts are for non-commercial use only! Monetizing art the current owner has created of them (posting the designs redbubble, etsy, etc) is fine. Please contact me (faireverie) to discuss options if you wish to use my artwork in commercial ventures, I’m happy to create custom TOS rules!


* Please wait at least one month before reselling or trading any adoptable purchased or otherwise obtained from me


* If selling an adoptable created by me that does not have additional art aside from the original drawing, please do not price the adoptable at a higher value than what you obtained them for.


* If posting the character onto a website meant to display original characters such as CharacterHub or Refsheet.net, make sure to prominently display credit to me for creating the adopt’s design, and link my deviantart or this carrd.


* You (the customer) may alter adoptables obtained from me in any way you wish, as the character belongs to you.
However, altering certain aspects of my adopts is something that I am uncomfortable with, and I may not willing to conduct business with you in the future if the below aspects are altered.
     * Do not alter any PoC (person of color) adoptables so as to make them white or lighter skinned
     * Do not alter any disabled adoptables so as to make them able-bodied.
Again, violators of these guidelines will not be put on public blacklists, or anything of the sort. I simply will not conduct further business with you.


* My designs/adoptables should be viewable to me on all platforms hosting said design. If a design is privated, I should be authorized to view them.
     * Do not delete my designs. If for any reason you wish to delete my design, please transfer them back to me so the design can be rehomed.


* While not mandatory, I would appreciate being notified when my adopts change owners before the change in ownership takes place
